Mobile Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  mobile automation test scripts

  for iOS and Android platforms using

  Java + Selenium/Appium

  .
• Perform automation framework enhancements, test execution, reporting, and defect logging.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing for mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize scripts for performance and stability.
• Integrate automation suites with

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Work with

  device farms

  (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm) for distributed testing.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, maintain test documentation, and support UAT if required.
• Provide estimation, test planning, and status reporting in Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java programming

  (OOPs, Collections, Exception handling).

• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver

  , TestNG or JUnit.

• Expertise in Appium

  for Android and iOS automation.
• Experience with

  Xcode, Android Studio

  , device debugging, simulators/emulators.
• Experience in

  mobile app testing

  (native, hybrid, and web apps).
• Solid understanding of

  ADB commands

  , UIAutomator2, XCUITest drivers.
• Working knowledge of

  Git/GitHub

  and version control.
• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to REST API testing using tools like

  Postman / REST Assured

• Ability to analyze logs, crashes, and performance issues.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  BDD frameworks

  (Cucumber).
• Knowledge of

  Maven/Gradle

  build tools.
• Familiarity with

  Cloud-based device testing platforms

  .
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
• Exposure to accessibility and usability testing.
