Summary: The Manager, Infrastructure Operations is responsible for overseeing the availability, reliability, and efficiency of global infrastructure solutions including network, hosting, end user, and collaboration services. The leader is accountable for infrastructure operations services provided by internal staff and external service providers. The role will collaborate significantly with infrastructure towers for service delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directs a small team with global responsibility for overseeing the availability, reliability, and efficiency of global infrastructure solutions. Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure delivery of high quality services Will be responsible for SLA performance across Service management, asset management, Incident management, Change management Will be responsible for monitoring and initial triage for hosting and network services Will collaborate with service providers and infrastructure towers to ensure seamless operation of infrastructure services Ensure timely and effective incident resolution, problem management, and service request fulfillment Oversee aspects of the operating budget, drive and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced Work in a matrixed and/or global environment. Manage work done by outside vendors. Ensure daily health checks and log scans of infrastructure solutions Responsible for ensuring department is properly staffed; identifies top performers/underperforming employees and develop appropriates plans for development; actively engages and motivates employees. Manages direct reports, conducts reviews and sets specific goals and objectives based on overall competencies. Works with Senior Leadership to develop the necessary structure, resources, and processes to manage the organization s current activities and long-term projected growth. Establishes regular departmental meetings to promote communication and adequate information flow. Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience. 8+ years of IT infrastructure solutions management experience. Experience managing IT personnel and external service providers. Ability to manage multiple projects. Able to effectively communicate with upper management. Self-motivated. Work well with little supervision. Works well in a team environment. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize work. Ability to work with personnel from all levels. Availability for off-hour calls and systems work. Experience working with infrastructure operations in manufacturing environments. Must be a team-player, possess outstanding customer service skills and be self-motivated. Acts with a sense of urgency, illustrates ambition and drives for completion of tasks and projects. Must have the ability to initiate and develop creative solutions that are cost effective and supportable Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Must possess strong decision making and problem solving skills. Demonstrate leadership competencies such as: effective planning, motivating and developing staff and building effective teams. Strategic thinking and the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals .
