Job Title: Production and Fabric Merchandiser

Location: Dalhousie, Kolkata
Salary: Negotiable (Based on Experience)
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production and Fabric Merchandiser to join our team. This role involves overseeing the production process, ensuring timely delivery of fabric, and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of garment production processes, fabric sourcing, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabric Sourcing & Procurement: Source and procure fabrics in line with production requirements, keeping track of inventory levels.
• Production Planning & Coordination: Work closely with production teams to ensure timely and quality production. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and production teams to meet deadlines.
• Cost Negotiation: Negotiate prices with fabric suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising on quality.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality of fabrics and finished products meets the required standards. Perform quality checks on raw materials before production begins.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
• Production Timelines: Monitor the production schedule and ensure the timely delivery of finished goods to clients.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed records and reports of production processes, fabric purchases, and inventory.
• Troubleshooting: Address any issues that arise during production or fabric delivery, ensuring minimal delays or disruptions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in production and fabric merchandising, preferably within the garment/textile industry.
• In-depth knowledge of fabric sourcing, garment production processes, and cost management.
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other relevant software.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Bachelor's degree in Textile/Fashion Design/Management (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
