Merchandiser PD+Production - Garment Export House

Looking for Merchandiser from export background only. The opportunity is for a Merchandiser who can handle complete merchandising activities independently (PD + Production) Roles and Responsibilities Candidate will be responsible for complete garment merchandising related activities from PD to Production, involving dealing with international buyers & buying offices independently. Candidate will be required to close all garment fitting processes, order materials, testing closure, follow up with the production department for timely delivery of the orders. Candidate will be required to coordinate with the Trims and Fabric departments to ensure Materials are In-house on time. Candidates with a strong technical background & experience in production merchandising activities need apply. Candidate will be required to quote prices, hence knowledge of costing is mandatory. Candidate must have strong organisational skills and solid follow-up capabilities as would be required to work with numerous styles simultaneously. Due to strong emphasis on Delivery Performance & punctuality, candidate should be ready to perform & deliver under pressure situations. Desired Candidate Profile Candidate must be ready to take complete ownership of the account starting from PD to the dispatch of bulk shipment. Strong technical knowledge about pattern, fitting, stitching & fabrics is mandatory. Candidate must have woven ladies wear experience. Knit garments experience is desirable. Candidate must have design interpretation skills with good hold on embroideries/new techniques, etc as lot of creative input will be required. Candidates with pure Export House experience need apply.
