Analyze market & fashion trends, consumer demand in the apparel segment to plan assortments.
Create and manage purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and factories to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor costing, negotiate with vendors on materials & trims, ensuring profitability.
Coordinate with design & production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost efficient.
Track inventory turnover, slow/fast moving styles, recommend markdowns or replenishment.
Ensure quality standards for incoming materials and finished product match expectations.
Maintain communication with logistics, production & quality departments for smooth flow.
Prepare reports on sales, costs, margins, and performance metrics.
2-4 years experience in merchandising, preferably in apparel (manufacturing or retail).
Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garment costing.
Strong planning, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, basic understanding of product lifecycle.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with various teams.
Detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple styles & deadlines simultaneously.
