Merchandiser

• The incumbent will ensure complete handoffs to the manufacturing team (including the pattern for cutting) to make sure the production is as per the designer’s first sample.
• This incumbent should have exposure in Production planning and control(PPC)
• This incumbent will be responsible for creating and executing the planning calendar for the organization. He/ She will be responsible for creating the Time and Action plan and execution against it
• The incumbent is responsible for proposing the product launches post discussion with all stakeholders with timelines. He/She needs to ensure sign off on the T&A.
• The incumbent would liaison with the designers for clarifications. approvals and sign offs where needed
• He/She will be responsible for calculating and documentation of costing and fabric consumption as well as sharing production cost for forecasting quantities and MRPs
• The incumbent would be responsible for ordering Fabric post leadership approval. This person would ensure its availability in house (as per schedule) and verifying the quantity received vis-à-vis the order.
• This person will be responsible for ensuring we have strong Vendor Agreements/ Documentation on all vendor related engagements.
• The incumbent has to ensure that the quality of fabric is as promised and in case of any discrepancy he/she needs to take the approval / sign off from the designers. The incumbent will have to set up stringent and robust processes to ensure quality assurance of the raw materials (Lab testing of all fabrics and trims )
• This person will have to benchmark products, samples and accessories with others in the industry, and submit competitor analysis to the designers and business head.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Diploma/Bachelors/Masters in Fashion/Merchandising

- Comfort with ERP

- Prior experience as a Merchandiser in apparel sector is preferred
