Merchandise Strategist

The role for one of our clients in the sales industry, based in Kolkata, is seeking an experienced and creative Merchandiser to shape the product strategy and drive commercial success in their lab-grown diamond jewelry line. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for defining seasonal product assortments, ensuring alignment with brand identity and sales targets, and collaborating with various teams for successful collections. Responsibilities include: - Defining seasonal product assortments based on market research and customer behavior. - Monitoring product performance to identify bestsellers and underperformers. - Staying updated on emerging trends in jewelry, fashion, and luxury, especially in sustainable and lab-grown diamonds. - Partnering with ecommerce and retail teams for optimal product presentation and launch coordination. - Assisting in developing pricing strategies and supporting promotional campaigns to drive traffic and conversions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts, a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, and a collaborative professional with effective communication skills. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of merchandising experience in luxury fashion, jewelry, or accessories. Key skills required for this role include product merchandising, trend forecasting, luxury retail, assortment planning, sales analysis, inventory optimization, pricing strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience or interest in lab-grown diamonds and sustainable jewelry is considered a strong advantage. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and merchandising tools, along with experience in analytics platforms, is a plus.,
