The MEP Estimation Manager will be responsible for leading the estimation process for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems within our turnkey building / industrial projects. This role involves analysing project drawings and specifications, coordinating with design and procurement teams, preparing detailed cost estimates (material, labour, equipment, subcontractor), and ensuring estimates are aligned with project scope, timelines and market norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project tender documents, architectural & structural drawings, MEP design packages, specifications and scope of work to understand project requirements. iosr.com

• Perform value engineering and cost-benefit analyses, propose alternate solutions to optimise cost without compromising quality.
  
• Prepare budget submissions, tender bids, cost reports and communicate estimation findings to senior management.
  
• Monitor changes to scope, variations, and update estimates accordingly through project lifecycle.
  
• Ensure estimation quality, accuracy, compliance with company standards, and readiness of the estimate for tendering and negotiation phase.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• Minimum

  X years

  (adjust based on seniority) of experience in MEP estimation or cost control for construction/turnkey projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (mechanical HVAC, electrical power & lighting, plumbing, fire protection) and their installation/erection workflows.
  
• Proficiency in reading & interpreting drawings (architectural, structural, MEP) and specifications.
  
• Good experience with estimation software/tools, spreadsheets (Excel), cost databases.
  
• Excellent analytical, numerical and detail-oriented skills.
  
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tenders simultaneously, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines.
  
• Prior experience in turnkey industrial/commercial projects will be an advantage.
  

Desired Skills & Attributes

• Familiar with local market rates/costs for materials, labour and equipment in Bengaluru/India.
  
• Knowledge of subcontractor scopes and vendor supply chains within MEP domain.
