Job Description

The MEP Engineer will oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works for the school construction project, ensuring timely execution, quality control, safety compliance, and coordination between contractors, consultants, and management.

Key Responsibilities1. Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate all MEP works (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, STP, WTP, etc.) with civil and architectural teams.
  • Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs provided by consultants.
  • Prepare MEP work schedules and ensure timely execution.

2. Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise on-site installation of electrical panels, wiring, lighting, plumbing lines, pumps, fire-fighting systems, HVAC units, and related equipment.
  • Ensure all works comply with design, safety norms, and technical standards.
  • Inspect work at all stages and verify that approved materials are used.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular inspections of MEP systems and verify testing & commissioning.
  • Ensure proper calibration of equipment and quality of installations.
  • Maintain checklists and quality control reports.

4. Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and MEP consultants for clarifications and approvals.
  • Verify and certify work completion for bill processing.
  • Ensure delivery of materials as per specification and monitor inventory.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all MEP works comply with local regulations, safety codes, and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of fire safety standards, emergency lights, exit signage, etc.
  • Monitor safe working practices by MEP workers.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain site reports, installation logs, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Document changes, variations, and deviations from approved drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP works (school, hospital, commercial buildings preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, HT/LT systems, STP, WTP, fire-fighting, and plumbing systems.
  • Excellent understanding of MRV, BOQ, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP design tools preferred.

Pay: From ₹27,000.00 per month
