MEP Design Engineer

As an MEPF Design Engineer specializing in Plumbing and HVAC systems for infrastructure/building projects at Infra.Health, your role involves designing, developing, and coordinating efficient and compliant systems while ensuring they are cost-effective and meet health & safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Design detailed plumbing systems including domestic cold & hot water supply, drainage, sanitary, storm water, and waste & venting. - Design HVAC systems including load calculations, ductwork layout, AHUs, VRF/package/central systems, ventilation, and temperature & humidity control. - Select appropriate equipment and material specifications such as pumps, fans, air handling units, and chillers. - Prepare drawings, plans, schematics, and technical details in 2D & 3D formats as required. - Perform calculations for pressure loss, friction loss in ducts/pipes, heat/cooling loads, and flow rates. - Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, regulations, and sustainability/energy norms. - Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate systems seamlessly and resolve clashes in design. - Provide support during construction by reviewing shop drawings, conducting site inspections, and making field adjustments. - Participate in value engineering by suggesting cost-saving or efficiency-improving modifications. - Maintain project documentation, specifications, calculation sheets, and equipment schedules. - Ensure quality, accuracy in deliverables, and meet deadlines effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in designing plumbing and HVAC systems in the building/infrastructure sector. - Proficiency in design & calculation tools/software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and load calculation tools. - Understanding of relevant codes & standards in India and internationally. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills for coordination with multiple stakeholders. - Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage time effectively. - Site experience is a plus for visits, inspections, and observing installation details.
