Job Title: Melting Engineer / Foundry & Annealing / Heat Treatment Engineer (Silver Alloys)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Melting & Heat Treatment Engineer with strong expertise in silver alloys and allied products. The role involves managing melting, casting, annealing, and heat treatment processes to ensure consistent quality, metallurgical properties, and production efficiency. The candidate will be responsible for process control, defect reduction, and continuous improvement in foundry and heat treatment operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesMelting & Foundry Operations

  • Supervise and control melting of silver alloys and allied metals using furnaces and casting equipment
  • Ensure correct alloy composition, charge calculations, and melt chemistry
  • Monitor pouring, solidification, and casting processes to minimize defects
  • Optimize yield, recovery, and metal loss during melting and casting

Annealing & Heat Treatment

  • Plan and execute annealing and heat treatment cycles as per product specifications
  • Develop and control heat treatment parameters (temperature, soaking time, cooling rate)
  • Ensure desired mechanical and metallurgical properties of silver alloy products
  • Troubleshoot heat treatment-related defects such as cracking, discoloration, or improper hardness

Quality Control & Metallurgy

  • Conduct metallurgical analysis and interpret test results
  • Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Coordinate with quality and production teams to meet customer specifications
  • Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and heat treatment records

Process Improvement & Safety

  • Drive continuous improvement in melting and heat treatment efficiency
  • Reduce rejections, rework, and energy consumption
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Train and guide operators and technicians on best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy / Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in silver alloy melting, foundry, and heat treatment
  • Strong knowledge of annealing, heat treatment cycles, and metallurgical behavior of silver alloys
  • Experience with furnaces, casting equipment, and temperature control systems

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
