Medical Device Engineer (Mechanical)

Role Description

This is a 6-month contract with full-time extension. Hybrid role with on-site requirement (located in Santacruz, Mumbai). It involves contributing to the development, testing and operations of innovative medical devices within a dynamic start-up environment. The engineer will engage in multiple stages of the product life cycle, from design, prototyping to quality assurance, thus supporting the creation of safe and effective healthcare solutions. Responsibilities

• Perform 3D printing and rapid prototyping to develop and iterate medical device components
• Conduct quality validation testing to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Assist in assembly and operations for medical device production

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mechanical Engineering principles
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D)
• Experience in V&V and Quality Testing
• Skills in Failure Analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of manufacturing & operations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Design, or a related field
• Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
