Key responsibilities

• Provide counseling: Offer one-on-one or group counseling on academic, career, and personal matters.
• Assess student needs: Evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, skills, and ambitions to help them make informed decisions.
• Guide academic and career planning: Help students set goals, develop educational plans, and explore potential career and course options.
• Assist with applications and admissions: Guide students through the application process for colleges and entrance exams, including test preparation like IELTS or GRE.
• Develop study and coping skills: Teach students effective study habits and strategies for managing stress and academic pressure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with parents, teachers, and administrators to support student success.
• Maintain records: Keep confidential records of student progress and sessions.
• Stay informed: Keep up-to-date on educational trends and career opportunities.

Common qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is often required.
• Experience: Previous experience in academic advising or a counseling or medical counselling role is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills are essential. An ability to listen and maintain confidentiality is crucial
