Job Summary:

Medical Content Writer

Key Responsibilities:

1. OTC & Rx Product Content:

  • Write

    clear and compelling product descriptions

    for OTC products (e.g., supplements, skincare, wellness, and first-aid)
  • Develop

    scientifically accurate and compliant content for Rx (prescription) products

    , including patient information, doctor communication materials, and web copy
  • Ensure all product-related content aligns with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) and internal review processes

2. Doctor Website Content:

  • Create informative and engaging content for

    doctor clinic websites

    , such as:
  • Service descriptions
  • Treatment overviews
  • Condition and symptom pages
  • Doctor profiles and bios
  • Optimize content for

    SEO

    , patient readability, and credibility

3. Social Media Content:

  • Write short-form, engaging

    social media captions, educational posts, and infographics

    for healthcare professionals and brands
  • Adapt complex medical topics into

    easy-to-understand and shareable formats

    for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to align visuals with content tone and messaging

4. General Responsibilities:

  • Research medical topics using reliable sources (PubMed, Mayo Clinic, WHO, etc.)
  • Translate complex medical language into patient-friendly content while maintaining accuracy
  • Maintain consistent tone, voice, and branding across all content
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical, legal, marketing, and design

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in medical or healthcare content writing
  • Solid understanding of both

    OTC and Rx product communication

  • Ability to write for diverse platforms: websites, product pages, and social media
  • Excellent command of English with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with

    SEO

    principles and digital content best practices
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience writing for

    doctor or clinic websites

  • Understanding of

    regulatory compliance

    in pharma content
  • Experience with

    CMS platforms

    (e.g., WordPress)
  • Knowledge of social media best practices in healthcare marketing
