Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Medical Coder. The Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding medical records using the appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Key day-to-day tasks include reviewing physician notes and diagnostic reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and collaborating with healthcare providers for clarification. The role demands a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Coding and familiarity with Coding Experience
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management
• Certification such as RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) is preferred
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• Proficiency with coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is beneficial
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
