About the Rol

Responsibiliti

Code 120–150 encounters/shift with ≥95% accuracy using CPT, ICD‑10‑CM, and modifiers.
Validate NCCI edits; stay updated on CMS, LCD/NCD, and payer guidelines.
Query providers within 24 hours for documentation gaps and clarify E/M levels as per 2021 guidelines.
Analyze denial trends; reduce coder-related denials by ≥2 ppt in 6 months.
Track and report revenue risks weekly; maintain coding quality dashboards.
Complete daily handoff notes and participate in internal audits and process improvemen
ts.

Qualificat

High school diploma or above (healthcare/life sciences degree preferred).
Certified Professional Coder (CPC); CCS/COC or specialty certs a plus.
2+ years’ coding experience (inpatient/outpatient); E/N coding and cardiology exposure preferred.
Proficient in EHRs (Athena, Epic, eCW), encoders (3M, TruCode), Excel & basic BI tools.
Strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
