Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Review medical charts, clinical documentation, and patient records for accuracy.
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, E/M, and procedure codes.
Perform coding for one or more specialties:

EM / E&M Coding
Emergency Department (ED)
IP-DRG / DRG Coding
Same Day Surgery (SDS)
Radiology / Pathology / Cardiology / Cardiovascular
Surgery / Surgical Coding
Denial Management Coding
Critical Care

Ensure adherence to payer guidelines and compliance standards.
Work closely with QA and audit teams to maintain coding quality benchmarks.
Identify coding errors and provide corrective feedback when required.
Meet daily/weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes and industry standards.
Support RCM operations by reducing denials and improving claim accuracy.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Minimum
1 year experience
in Medical Coding (any specialty mentioned above).
Strong knowledge of
ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS
, and DRG methodologies.
Certification preferred:

CPC / CCS / CIC / COC

Experience in EM, ED, IPDRG, SDS, Radiology, Pathology, Surgery, or Denials is an added advantage.
Good understanding of US healthcare, payer guidelines, and compliance rules.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a virtual environment.
Ability to meet productivity and quality standards consistently.
