Medical Coder

As a skilled and experienced Medical Coder, your role will involve reviewing and analyzing patient medical records with accuracy. You will be responsible for assigning correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation, as well as performing HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) Coding following client and CMS guidelines. Your familiarity with the Centene Tool or other client-specific coding platforms will be advantageous. Collaboration with QA and team leads for error correction and improvement, ensuring coding accuracy, productivity, and compliance, and maintaining HIPAA standards for patient information security will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Review and analyze patient medical records with accuracy - Assign correct ICD-10-CM / CPT / HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation - Perform HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) Coding as per client and CMS guidelines - Work on Centene Tool or other client-specific coding platforms - Ensure coding accuracy, productivity, and compliance - Collaborate with QA and team leads for error correction and improvement - Maintain HIPAA standards for patient information security Qualifications Required: - Life Science / Medical Background (B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences) - Experience: 2 to 5 Years - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology - Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS - Experience in HCC Coding (Mandatory/Preferred) - Knowledge of Centene Tool (Added Advantage) - Good analytical skills and attention to detail - Effective communication and documentation skills In addition, you will benefit from leave encashment, paid sick time, and paid time off as part of the full-time, permanent position based in Coimbatore with working hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in a day shift setting.,
