Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing patient billing, submitting insurance claims, and ensuring timely reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure prompt payment.
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system.
• Maintain patient billing records and update account information.
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with medical coders and other staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Stay updated on insurance regulations, coding requirements, and compliance guidelines (HIPAA).

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar healthcare billing role.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, and reimbursement processes.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes is a plus.
• Proficiency in billing software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (CPC, CPB, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience with [specify EHR/EMR software like Epic, Kareo, Athena, etc. if required]
