Media Coordinator

As a Media Coordinator at our university, your role involves coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure media coverage of various university events, conferences, guest lectures, student activities, and other initiatives. You will be responsible for managing the university's media calendar, maintaining a digital archive of photos, videos, press releases, and media mentions, and collaborating with content, design, and social media teams for timely and accurate content delivery. Additionally, you will support PR and outreach efforts, monitor media coverage, prepare reports on media impact, and assist in scripting and coordinating video shoots, interviews, and promotional content. Ensuring university branding guidelines are followed across all media content and managing approvals for external media coverage within the campus are also part of your key responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. - 2-4 years of experience in media coordination, public relations, or digital content management. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with media personnel and internal stakeholders. - Working knowledge of photography, videography, and content editing tools is a plus. - Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics reporting.
