MIPL is expanding its Robotics & Special Purpose Machine (SPM) division and were looking for passionate engineers who want to build real-world robots for Public Security, Firefighting, Defence, Railways, Oil & Gas, and Industrial Automation.

Location: Ahmedabad

What You Will Work On

You will be involved in the complete lifecycle of advanced robotics systems, including:

• Mechanical design & 3D modeling (robots, drones,UGVs, manipulators, SPMs)
• Manufacturing, fabrication, and vendor coordination
• Assembly of tracked/wheeled robots and special machinery
• Testing, validation & field trials in real environments
• Integrating electronics, sensors, and actuators with mechanical systems
• Working closely with AI, CV, and embedded teams

Desired Background

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Robotics / Automation
• Hands-on experience in building robots or mechanisms (college, hobby, internship, or professional)
• Experience in designing all-terrain robots, UGVs, manipulators, or SPMs
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, motion systems, and fabrication
• Ability to work with real hardware, tools, and shop-floor processes

Bonus Advantage

• Participation in Robocon, Robofest, E-Yantra, SAE BAJA, IRC, or similar robotics competitions

• Exposure to defence/industrial-grade robotics
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, arm mechanisms, or tracked mobility
• Strong portfolio of projects or prototypes

Technical Skills

• CAD software: SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, Fusion 360
• Knowledge of GD&T, fabrication drawings, machining processes
• Understanding of batteries, motors, drivetrains, transmissions
• Ability to collaborate with electronics & software teams
