The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and standards. The role involves managing technicians, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring quality execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate mechanical technicians and workers on-site
Plan and assign daily mechanical work activities
Ensure mechanical installations and maintenance meet drawings, specifications, and standards
Monitor compliance with safety rules and conduct toolbox talks
Inspect mechanical equipment, piping, machinery, and systems for quality and defects
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support corrective actions
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other discipline supervisors
Ensure availability and proper use of tools, equipment, and materials
Maintain work progress reports, manpower records, and material usage
Support testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities
Diploma / ITI / Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related trade
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Technician
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, piping, HVAC, machinery, etc.)
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance practices
Team supervision and leadership
Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving
Safety and quality control
Time management and coordination
Basic reporting and documentation skills
