Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Overview:

A Water Treatment Site Engineer is responsible for managing the erection (installation) phase of water treatment plants, ensuring that all components are installed correctly, meeting design specifications, and complying with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

· Collaborate with project managers to plan and coordinate the erection phase of water treatment projects.

· Develop schedules, timelines, and resource plans for the installation process.

Installation Supervision:

· Oversee the installation of water treatment equipment, machinery, and systems.

· Ensure that all components are installed according to design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

· Manage erection teams and subcontractors involved in the erection process.

Quality Assurance:

· Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the quality of the water treatment plant machinery and systems.

· Conduct inspections to verify that the installation process meets our WTT standards and regulatory requirements.

Health and Safety Compliance:

· Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all installation activities comply with occupational health and safety regulations.

· Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for erection teams.

Commissioning:

· Oversee the commissioning process to ensure that the water treatment plant is fully operational.

· Coordinate testing procedures and troubleshoot any mechanical related issues that may arise during commissioning.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain detailed records of the installation process, including equipment specifications, erection progress, and testing results.

· Prepare and submit progress reports to project managers on weekly basis.

Training and Support:

· Provide training to plant operators and maintenance staff on the proper operation and maintenance of installed equipment.

· Offer technical support during the initial phases of plant operation.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

· Relevant experience in water treatment plant construction and erection projects.

· Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.

· Strong project management and leadership skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
