Qualification - Diploma / BTech - Mechanical

Experience- Min 5–6 years in machine maintenance, preferably in the metal recycling industry. Prior experience in metal recycling, steel, scrap processing, or heavy engineering industries

Salary - Upto 6 LPA CTC

Location - Alwar (Raj.)

Job Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical equipment used in metal recycling operations. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, safe operations, and efficient maintenance practices across shredders, balers, conveyors, and other heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of recycling machinery such as shredders, shears, balers, crushers, conveyors, and hydraulic systems

* Diagnose mechanical failures and carry out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence

* Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

* Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and fitters

* Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machines

* Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with stores and procurement

* Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations

* Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment

* Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports

* Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations

SKILLS

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, and welding

* Hands-on experience with heavy industrial machinery used in metal recycling

* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and TPM practices
