Mechanical Estimator

As a Mechanical Estimator at the leading Oil & Gas operator in Benghazi, Libya, your role involves analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting budgeting and execution throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing project plans, specifications, and technical drawings to develop detailed mechanical cost estimates - Collaborating with engineers and project managers to determine project scope and requirements - Preparing and submitting competitive bid proposals for mechanical projects - Evaluating and recommending materials, equipment, and labor requirements - Conducting risk analysis and assisting in mitigation planning - Monitoring and controlling project budgets, tracking any deviations - Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing - Supporting contract negotiations and project finalization - Providing technical assistance during project execution to ensure cost control Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mechanical estimation, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry standards - Proficient in estimation tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics - Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines In addition to the challenging responsibilities, the benefits of this position include a competitive salary (Negotiable based on experience), accommodation & transport provided, opportunity to work with a leading Oil & Gas operator, and international work exposure.
