Mechanical Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and

requirements.

• Perform quantity take-offs using estimating software and industry standards.
• Solicit and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes for equipment and materials.
• Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate with senior estimators/project managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, RFI preparation, and clarification of scope with clients.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of labor rates, material prices, and supplier contacts.
• Assist in developing value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives.
• Ensure estimates comply with U.S. building codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably with exposure to U.S. projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Proficiency with estimating/take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Trimble,FastPIPE/FastDUCT, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong Excel and general MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with U.S. construction codes, standards, and CSI divisions.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19,526.67 - ₹45,000.00 per month
