Mechanical Engineer – Material Testing & Sample Preparation

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering ( Freshers or 1–2 years experience can apply ) Job Responsibilities: Perform mechanical testing of metals and alloys such as: Tensile Test Hardness Test (Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell) Impact Test (Charpy / Izod) Bend / Flattening / Compression tests Assist in sample preparation for mechanical and metallurgical testing (cutting, grinding, polishing, machining). Operate and maintain testing machines as per standard procedures (ASTM, IS, ISO). Record test data accurately and ensure proper documentation. Support engineers in test report preparation. Ensure proper sample identification, traceability, and storage. Follow all lab safety practices and maintain equipment in good working condition. Work collaboratively with metallurgical and chemical testing teams. Skills Required: Basic knowledge of mechanical properties of materials. Hands-on interest in operating lab/testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy. Good communication and basic computer skills (Excel, Word). Willingness to learn and adapt to lab standards (ISO/IEC 17025). Experience: Fresher / Entry Level (Training will be provided) Salary: As per industry standards.
