1. Quality Control & Assurance:
a) Develop and implement quality inspection procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished forged products.
b) Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for quality issues.
c) Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100, depending on the sector.
d) Monitor heat treatment, machining, and surface finishing processes to maintain product integrity.
2. Inspection & Testing:
a) Perform dimensional, mechanical, and metallurgical testing using CMM, hardness testers, spectrometers, and other quality equipment.
b) Analyze microstructure, grain flow, and mechanical properties of forged parts.
c) Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming material quality.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
a) Generate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action reports (CARs).
4. Process Improvement:
a) Optimize forging processes to minimize defects such as cracks, porosity, laps, and inclusions.
5. Customer & Regulatory Compliance:
1. Work closely with customers to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
2. Ensure products meet standards such as ASTM, SAE, DIN, or customer-specific requirements.
1. Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: 15 years in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing, forging, or automotive industries. Freshers may apply
1. Familiarity with ERP systems, Minitab, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is a plus.
2. Analytical mindset, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
3. Willingness to Travel: Required for supplier audits, inspections, and customer visits.
Monthly Salary Bracket: 25000-35000
