Assistant Manager - QA / QC (Naidupet, AP)

Job Purpose:

To ensure consistent product quality, adherence to quality systems, and continual improvement in QA/QC processes for pigment manufacturing, in compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control & Testing

• Oversee the daily testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
  
• Ensure all analytical tests are conducted as per defined methods and specifications.
  
• Review and approve test reports, COAs, and maintain quality documentation.
  

2. Quality Assurance Systems

• Implement and monitor QA systems aligned with ISO / REACH / other relevant standards.
  
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer / ISO / regulatory).
  
• Maintain calibration and validation records of all analytical instruments.
  

3. Process & Product Improvement

• Work closely with production and R&D teams to identify quality deviations and drive corrective actions.
  
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product consistency.
  
• Analyze non-conformities and implement preventive measures.
  

4. Customer Quality Management

• Address customer complaints related to product quality and ensure timely closure with root cause analysis.
  
• Participate in customer audits and provide technical support on quality-related queries.
  

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain and update quality manuals, SOPs, and testing protocols.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  
• Prepare monthly quality performance reports and present quality metrics to management.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of pigments, color matching, and dispersion characteristics.
  
• Strong understanding of chemical testing methodologies and analytical instruments (e.g., spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC, etc.).
  
• Proficiency in QA systems, statistical quality tools, and documentation control.
  
• Leadership and team-handling abilities.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  

Educational Qualification:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry
  

Preferred Background:

• Experience in inorganic / organic pigment manufacturing environment.
  
• Exposure to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / REACH / RoHS quality standards.
