Mechanical Draftsman/woman

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Auto-CAD, with prior experience in designing and drafting process vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and related equipment. The position is based in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, and will involve working closely with the Sales and Engineering teams to deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and layout drawings using Auto-CAD.
• Design, draft, and detail-engineer equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Storage Tanks as per ASME / API / TEMA & PED standards.
• Prepare mechanical data sheets for various equipment.
• Ensure equipment design is cost-effective and efficient.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and costing for projects.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other departments and clients.
• Prepare and check bills of material for projects.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and ideas to assess design factors.
• Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or production issues.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers for clients.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical Engineer, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in Auto-CAD, preferably within the Pharma Industry.
• Hands-on experience in designing and drafting process vessels, liquid, ointment, and sugar syrup equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with design standards (ASME, API, TEMA, PED).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with designing and drafting in the pharma industry.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Auto-CAD and related drafting software.
