Mechanical Designer

As a Mechanical Designer at Advance Panel Pvt Ltd in Haridwar, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for electrical transformers up to 10 MVA, 33 kV class, as well as compact substations. Your expertise in mechanical design, CAD software, and knowledge of transformer components and substation layouts will be essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Design structural parts, enclosures, bushings, tap changers, and cooling systems for transformers up to 10 MVA, 33 kV class. - Develop compact substations with integrated transformer components, switchgear, and control systems in efficient layouts. - Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components. - Maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications. - Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure design integrity and reliability. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for transformer and substation designs. - Select materials based on performance and environmental requirements. - Provide technical support during manufacturing and deployment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer focusing on transformer design or similar industrial equipment. - Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. - Familiarity with transformer components, cooling systems, and electrical safety standards. - Experience in compact substation design and integration of electrical components. - Ability to perform mechanical and thermal analysis using relevant software. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in designing transformers up to 10 MVA, 33 kV class. - Experience with 3D modeling and simulation software. - Knowledge of industry standards for transformers and substations (IEEE, IEC, UL).
