Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Intern to support our engineering team in the development of mechanical assemblies and enclosures for electronic systems. The role involves working on CAD modeling, thermal and structural analysis, and contributing to product design.

Key Responsibilities

3D modeling and detailed design of mechanical assemblies using CAD software (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks).
Perform structural and thermal simulations using Ansys or similar FEA tools.
Assist in design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
Generate 2D manufacturing drawings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, RF, and system integration.

Requirements

Proficient in at least one CAD tool (preferably Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
Experience using Ansys or equivalent FEA software.
Prior exposure to design projects involving assemblies, preferably with structural or thermal analysis.
Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals.
Good sense of product aesthetics and design intent.
