Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and creative

Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

to join our R&D team. The intern will assist in the design and prototyping of innovative robotic systems and components. This is a hands-on role for someone eager to apply engineering principles to real-world robotics challenges.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical calculations: actuator sizing, torque/load analysis, and component selection.
  • Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Assist in prototyping, assembly, testing, and system integration.
  • Contribute to product & process documentation and design iteration cycles.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on rapid prototyping and iteration

Skills Required

  • Strong analytical and mechanical design skills (especially joints, linkages, and transmission systems).
  • Proficient in CAD tools
  • Proficient in GD&T and tolerancing standards
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, 3D printing, sheet metal, etc)
  • Understanding of rotary actuators, gearbox integration (cycloidal, planetary, harmonic).
  • Experience with lightweight structural design for dynamic/directional loading.
  • Ability to analyze kinematics, and force transmission in multi-DoF robotic systems.

Added Advantage

  • Prior experience in robotics or automotive projects (especially legged/quadruped robots)
  • Participation in college level competitions.
  • Related certified courses
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and passion for innovative, real-world design challenges

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience : 0 -1 Years
