About the role:
The Monitoring (M&E) Expert is expected to Monitor, analyze data collected from Google forms & various other mediums that help EG & dept. of secondary education to maximize its impact. This role will be instrumental in understanding the trends and developing monitoring and evaluation tools.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Data Management & Analysis Design and implement systems to manage, clean, and analyze data generated through
TAU activities, partner departments (e.g., ASOS, ASDM), and schemes like SAG, BBBP,
Analyze secondary data from sources like NFHS, UDISE+, PLFS, Census, and NIOS/ASOS records to identify priority districts and track key indicators.
Monitor trends related to enrolment, retention, certification, digital access, child marriage, skilling, and employability among adolescent girls and women.
Interpret statistical results, identify outliers or gaps, and generate district-wise dashboards for use by WCD and partners.
Monitoring, Reporting & Dashboard Development Develop and regularly update dashboards and performance scorecards for
second-chance education and NEET-reduction initiatives using tools like Tableau/Google
Conduct data quality checks, triangulate findings across multiple sources, and ensure alignment with state and national M&E frameworks.
Support the design and implementation of baseline, midline, and endline evaluations for pilots in selected districts.
Provide inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports aligned with project milestones.
Capacity Building & Technical Support Train WCD field staff, ASOS personnel, and other stakeholders in data collection tools,
digital reporting formats, and basic data literacy.
Collaborate with IIT-Guwahati (as part of the proposed Landscape Study) to synthesize findings and translate them into planning tools.
Contribute to the development of Monitoring Frameworks and Quality Assurance systems for Open Schooling & Skills programs.
Bachelors/Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a relevant field.
At least 3 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in education, gender, or livelihoods sector.
Hands-on experience with large datasets, SQL queries, and statistical packages (R/Python/SPSS).
Proven ability in dashboard creation (Tableau/Google Data Studio/Excel) and visual storytelling.
Strong knowledge of education datasets like UDISE+, NFHS, NIOS data and understanding of NEET indicators.
Familiarity with Assam s socio-economic and gender dynamics will be a strong advantage.
