Mdm Engineer

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in data-related disciplines such as MDM, data governance, data quality, and data cleansing.
• Expert knowledge of data mastering concepts, process ownership, data policies, and controls.
• Proven experience implementing MDM processes, policies, and procedures in complex, multinational organizations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP MDG, ERP, and associated data structures.
• Experience driving large, multi-year transformational change across multiple geographies and data domains.
• Strong leadership qualities to steer the team and provide strategic direction.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and secure sponsorship for the data transformation agenda.
• Excellent soft skills: active listening, communication, collaboration, presentation, problem-solving, team management, and stakeholder management.
• Project management skills and domain knowledge in Procurement, Finance, Customer, business acumen, critical thinking, and storytelling.
• Up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.

Role Objectives:

• Document the data strategy for finance.
• Convert the existing strawman into a formal strategy document.
• Identify a highly experienced and capable resource to join the team.
• Define the future direction for finance data and its impact on the organization.
• Detail the organizational structure and its interaction with other units.
• Define data quality measures and data structures.
• Develop data models and explain their usage.
• Explain the role of AI/ML and analytics in data management.
• Create a detailed implementation roadmap.
• Participate in and drive conversations with VPs and AVPs to socialize the data strategy.

Additional Requirements:

• Ensure candidates have 12+ years of experience across data disciplines such as asset management, MDM, data quality, and analytics.
• Prefer candidates with experience in writing data strategies.
• Require excellent conversation and communication skills.
• Candidates must be highly knowledgeable in data strategy and finance.
