Role & responsibilities

R&D Roadmap & Opportunity Analysis

• Identify high-value clinical and wellness use-cases relevant to future product lines by evaluating unmet/ under-served needs
• Assess market potential for shortlisted use-cases through TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, technology maturity assessment, customer adoption patterns, and competitive benchmarking.
• Map the competitive landscape, analyzing existing OEM modules, reference designs, sensing technologies, and product differentiators, along with relative strengths/limitations.
• Research component ecosystemssensors, analog front-ends, communication modules, materials, and other building blocksand evaluate potential suppliers.
• Identify regulatory and compliance requirements, standards, certifications, lab tests relevant to Sophrosynes solution roadmap.

GTM Intelligence & Commercial Support

• Profile and prioritise target OEM/ODM customers across medical devices, wearables, and health-tech, mapping key stakeholders for collaboration, technical deep-dives, PoCs, and commercial order wins.
• Build a partner ecosystem map, identifying potential ODMs, system integrators, EMS partners, design houses, and component suppliers that Business Development can engage.
• Monitor relevant industry events and forums (medical/consumer device expos, semiconductor events, etc.) for participation.
• Track the competitive reaction, customer satisfaction and market coverage of Sophrosyne product portfolio.

Preferred candidate profile

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering (BE/BTech/MTech)
• 3-8 years experience in technology research, TAM/SAM sizing, competitive analysis; preferably covering IoT, med-tech, consumer devices, digital health
• Strong Power point prsentation and MS Excel modeling skills
• Strong Email & communication skills

Good-to-have Requirements

• MBA (Marketing / Strategy / Product Management)
• Exposure to sensors, electronics, regulatory norms, or clinical workflows
• Understanding of OEM/ODM supply chains
• Experience of conducting primary research, surveys for B2B products
