Job Description

Role Overview: The Directors Office at IIHS supports the IIHS Director in establishing a world-class interdisciplinary University and managing the development of IIHS Schools and Labs, Academic, Research, Practice, and Capacity Development Programmes. The office aims to meet global benchmarks, collaborate with IIHS global and national networks, and produce strategic research and policy outputs for international and Indian partners. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans and processes for IIHS Schools, Labs, Programmes, and Functions, including progress reviews - Track IIHS domestic and international performance, rankings, and reputation - Coordinate IIHS School, Programme, and project management for delivering planned outcomes - Curate IIHS annual calendar of events, manage Director's calendar and engagements - Plan, run, and document institutional and external meetings and discussions - Drive special initiatives anchored by the Directors Office, manage timelines, track progress, and coordinate with stakeholders - Provide support to various IIHS activities including academics, research, training, and operations - Participate in all activities of Institution-Building at IIHS and travel for IIHS work within or outside the country as needed Qualifications Required: - Hold academic and professional qualifications from leading universities in any field - Bachelor's degree preferably from the urban, technology, economics, management, or law domains; Master's in management and/or public policy - 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience - Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English; working knowledge of at least one Indian language - Demonstrated managerial skills, experience in working with international education, R&D, public, private, and development institutions - Report writing and presentation skills to international standards, research experience desirable - Interpersonal, relationship management, communication, networking, team-working, and building skills - Expertise in using MS Office, experience in advanced analytical, GIS, statistical, and modeling tools desirable - Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible hours, and travel availability Additional Details: This offer is on an exclusive basis, prohibiting other professional assignments that pose a conflict of interest with IIHS.
