Manager - Social Media

• Manager, Social Media will lead Farmers for Forestsdigital storytelling across platforms, building awareness and engagement around our agroforestry, forest protection, and biodiversity work
• The role involves developing and executing content strategies in collaboration with operations teams, capturing authentic field and organization stories, and expanding F4Fdigital footprint

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies for F4Fmain and regional handles (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
• Plan and publish creative, platform-specific content that drives engagement and follower growth across farmer- and donor-facing channels
• Travel to project sites to capture field visuals, stories, and updates in coordination with operations and communications teams
• Collaborate with field and program teams to identify compelling stories, farmer testimonials, biodiversity updates, and visual moments for digital storytelling
• Produce, edit, and caption high-quality photos and short-form videos using mobile and desktop tools (Canva, CapCut, etc)
• Design and manage content calendars, ensure timely posting, and maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic
• Coordinate with external content creators, photographers, and influencers for collaborations and campaigns
• Analyze social media metrics, prepare monthly engagement reports, and refine strategies based on data insights
• Support digital communication needs for donor announcements, field campaigns, and special initiatives (such as Hornbill Dispatch, biodiversity hubs, recruitment)
• Manage comments, messages, and online community interactions in alignment with F4Ftone and values

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital communications
• Proven experience growing and managing organizational or brand social media pages with measurable impact
• Strong creative skills in photography, videography, and basic editing for digital platforms
• Excellent command of English; fluency in Hindi and Marathi
• Experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Meta Business Suite, and social media analytics platforms
• Understanding of grassroots storytelling and the ability to translate technical climate and forest content into engaging visual narratives
• Self-starter comfortable working across field, office, and remote environments
• Passion for climate action, rural communities, and creative communication
