Required experience:

• Experience in conducting Internal audit of Trade Finance in banks
• A good understanding of regulatory landscape (predominantly FEMA / import export regulations) applicable for Trade Finance business
• A good understanding of leading practices in Trade Finance and its process, products and systems
• A good understanding of Trade Finance products like LC, BG, buyers credit, ECB, ODI, FDI, remittances, etc.
• Proficiency in writing reports and presenting findings
• Experience in Continuous Control Monitoring and other audit automation is desirable

Roles and responsibilities for the position:

• Planning and executing internal, thematic, snap and special audits for Trade Finance business with a risk based internal audit approach within specified timeframes.
• Effectively recommend improvements to the policies, processes and operating practices by analyzing risk trends in the industry.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and design a remedial action plan for improvement of processes and mitigation of risks.
• Build understanding of significant business processes, regulations applicable to the bank and other specific business risks and Risk Based Supervision adopted by regulators.
• The internal audit role would include the following as part of the day-to-day job:

Undertaking detailed walkthrough of the processes being audited

Developing of data request for the audit

Updating risk and control matrix and checklist for the audit being undertaken

Executing of internal audits and testing procedures

Updating of internal audit MIS with the status of audits and other actionables emanating to the audit department

Making synopsis for ACB for the audits undertaken

• Assistance in managing of concurrent audit:

Managing concurrent audit activity and supervising the engagement

Managing relationship with Audit firms and guiding them to improve in audit execution and reporting

Assist the concurrent auditors in engaging with auditee units

Providing the audit firms with requisite support to complete audits
