Manager / Senior Manager Civil Design (HVDC Substations)

Role & responsibilities

This is a core engineering design role specializing in HVDC system design. Candidates with experience into maintenance, execution, or field project activities are kindly requested not to apply.

The Civil Engineer (Manager/Senior Manager) will lead the civil and structural engineering activities for HVDC converter stations, AC substations, and associated infrastructure, specifically with OEM interfaces such as Hitachi Energy, Siemens Energy, and GE Grid Solutions.
The role involves design review, civil engineering coordination, site execution oversight, and ensuring compliance with OEM technical requirements, national standards, and project timelines.

civil and structural designs

• Valve halls
• Control buildings
• GIS buildings
• Foundations for transformers, reactors, filters, AC yard equipment
• Cable trenches, drainage systems, and utility works
• Review and validate OEM civil design packages from

  Hitachi, Siemens, GE

  , ensuring compatibility with project requirements.
• Coordinate with OEM engineering teams for technical clarifications, interface matrix, load data, and design compliance.
• Conduct civil engineering calculations, design verification, and risk assessments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Must have hands-on experience in

  HVDC substation civil works

  (Converter stations, Valve Halls, Switchyards).
• Strong exposure to at least one major OEM:

• Hitachi Energy HVDC

• Experience in reviewing OEM documentation, foundation loads, clearances, and civil interface requirements.
• Experience in EPC or utility-scale power infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVDC equipment civil interfaces (valve hall loads, harmonic filters, cooling systems, transformers, reactors).
