Marine Construction Manager

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Project Planning & Execution

• Prepare detailed construction execution plans, work methodologies, and sequencing for marine works such as piling, decking, trestle, approach jetty, and berth construction.
• Following up with contractor for expediting the project work.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
• Review and approve construction drawings, method statements, and work permits.
• Certify contractor RA Bills.
• Aware with the risk associated with berth piling with Jack up barge and taking corrective action to avoid any incident.

B. Site Supervision

• Lead and supervise site teams, contractors.
• Ensure all marine construction activities comply with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and material compliance.
• Resolve technical issues in coordination with the Engineering and QA/QC departments.

C. Safety & Compliance

• Implement and enforce strict HSE standards for all marine operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits for marine activities.
• Ensure compliance with port regulations, environmental guidelines, and statutory approvals.

D. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, survey teams, and third-party agencies.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for material handling, marine transport, and equipment availability.
• Prepare and present progress reports, construction updates, and risk mitigation plans to management.

E. Quality Assurance

• Ensure that marine piling, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, and structural erection adhere to project quality plans.
• Review test reports for piles (e.g., PDA, Static Load Test) and concrete.
• Address NCRs, punch lists, and construction deviations promptly.

F. Budget & Resource Management

• Monitor resource utilization and productivity of marine operations.
• Support cost control, invoice verification, and subcontractor billing.
• Optimize equipment and manpower allocation to minimize cost overruns.

3. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Marine Engineering or related field.
• Minimum

  15-20 years

  of experience in marine infrastructure construction.
• Proven experience in

  jetty, berth, wharf, breakwater, or offshore structures

  .
• Strong knowledge of marine piling, precast installation, concrete works, and marine equipment.
• Familiarity with national and international marine construction standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project.
