Manager SCM

As a Manager SCM at L&T Precision Engineering & Systems ICCoimbatore Campus, your primary responsibility will be to establish and handle EPC (Sub-system / system) contracts with Suppliers/Partners. You should have knowledge and experience in procurement of Exotic Raw-material, Fabrication, machining, Bought out / Std parts, system/sub-systems as per project requirements. Your expertise in evolving appropriate terms and conditions for Procurement of EPC projects will be crucial. You will be required to demonstrate strong commercial knowledge, risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation for such contracts. Ensuring compliance with Corporate, Regulatory, and QMS guidelines is essential. Your role will involve converting requirements into enquiries, floating them to vendors, conducting techno-commercial comparisons, and negotiating with suppliers. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing Purchase orders with schedules and managing deliveries according to project requirements. Monitoring and improving supplier performance in terms of Cost, Delivery, and Quality will be a key aspect of your job. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and ERP systems like BAAN / SAP is necessary. Domain Knowledge in ISO 9001 & AS9100 systems is preferred. You should be prepared to work in a challenging environment, resolving Vendor-related techno-commercial issues in coordination with team members from other functions. Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and strong problem-solving abilities are required. Costing and price analysis, as well as Vendor performance Analysis, will also be part of your responsibilities.
