This includes tasks such as preparing cost estimates, developing budgets, controlling expenses to stay within budget, and managing contracts to protect the company's interests. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Cost Management:** - Prepare cost estimates and develop budgets for construction projects. - Control expenses to ensure the project stays within budget. - **Contract Management:** - Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts to safeguard the company's interests. - Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. - **Financial Forecasting and Reporting:** - Conduct financial forecasting to anticipate project needs. - Prepare regular reports on project financials. - **Risk and Value Management:** - Perform risk assessments to mitigate financial risks. - Ensure projects deliver value for money. - **Coordination:** - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure cost-effectiveness. - Ensure adherence to project standards. - **Site Visits:** - Travel to construction sites to monitor progress. - Check materials, bills, and measurements. - **Dispute Resolution:** - Assist in resolving financial discrepancies or disputes that may arise during projects. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. - 8-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in the Construction Industry. - Experience in heading the QS division is an added advantage. **Additional Details:** Abad Builders is looking for a candidate with proficiency in cost management, contract negotiation, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills are crucial for this role. Familiarity with software like ERP, MS Excel, and potentially AutoCAD is often required.
