Experience and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in IT, Cybersecurity or similar or equivalent work experience.
Prefer Security Certification(s) (i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or other equivalent recognized security certifications.
Experience working and managing direct reports in a large, geographically dispersed environment.
Understanding of industry standard regulations, risk management and security controls frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO, PCI, NIST, GAPP, HIPAA, GDPR, CIS, SANS, OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT or IT security teams.
Strong understanding of information security principles.
Skills Desired:
Excellent communication skills: able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with various security tools (Qualys, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft defender for Endpoint/Mobile/Server/ Cloud, FireEye, Armis, AttackIQ, Thales, AppOmni, NXLog, ManageEngine Event Log, Purview).
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively within a team.
