Manager - Quality

As a Quality Leader at Ingersoll Rand Inc., located in Ahmedabad, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing quality management systems within the manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include leading quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting customer expectations to enhance product quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Quality Management Systems (QMS)** - Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO standards and industry best practices. - Monitor compliance with internal procedures and external regulations. - Ensure timely closure of audit points with permanent countermeasures. - **Quality Assurance:** - Lead quality assurance initiatives throughout the manufacturing process, from design to parts development, PPAP, and process adherence. - Conduct layered and process audits with cross-functional teams to ensure quality software and a culture of quality at the source. - **Team Leadership:** - Supervise and mentor the quality assurance team, collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and deploy corrective actions. - Foster a culture of quality and accountability within the organization. - **Continuous Improvements:** - Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventative actions using tools like Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, SPC tools, and 7QC tools. - **Customer Focus:** - Address customer complaints and feedback related to product quality, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication. - Collaborate with sales and service teams to understand customer needs and expectations for product quality improvement. - **Training and Development:** - Develop and deliver training programs for quality professionals on standards and best practices to improve product quality and reliability. - **Supplier Management:** - Work with suppliers for on-site assessments and establish systems in line with global quality manuals and standards. - Review critical supplier processes and ensure controls are in place. - **Reporting and Documentation:** - Prepare quality reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends, issues, improvement activities, and customer complaints. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the compressor or related industry. - Strong knowledge of quality standards and leading teams for problem-solving. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Strong leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Minimum 20 years of experience in the quality field within a high and medium manufacturing environment.,
