Designation: Manager Quality Assurance Role Summary:The Assistant Manager Safety and Quality is responsible for the overall functioning of the food safety systems, environment management, hygiene, safety, legal compliance and KPI deliverables. He/she manages and directs a team comprising of quality team at the warehouses. He/she is also the main point of contact for the Customer, Head Quarter and the Warehouse for the QA and food safety aspects.Process development and set-up:

1. Company documentations policies, objectives, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), guidelines, audit checklists, records and reports
2. Food Safety (Hazard and Risk Analysis) Plan and documentation - team, product category, flow charts, hazard analysis, HACCP Plan, validation and verification
3. Risk assessment plans for the food defense and food frauds related to warehouse and logistics
4. Recall Management
5. On-hold and Non-conforming Product Management
6. Site security plan
7. Trainings Annual Plan, Training materials / modules, exit criteria
8. Audit Management customer and third party
9. Performance Indicator related to quality, audits and safety
10. Quality and safety budget
11. Purchases of related to safety, pest control services, and hygiene

1. Food Safety (Hazard and Risk Analysis) Plan and documentation - team, product category, flow charts, hazard analysis, HACCP Plan, validation and verification
2. Risk assessment plans for the food defense and food frauds related to warehouse and logistics
3. Site security plan
4. Trainings Annual Plan, Training materials / modules, exit criteria
5. Audit Management customer and third party; DC Set-up as per the requirements
6. Performance Indicator related to quality, audits and safety
7. Prepare the data for the Quality and safety budget
8. Receive the indents for the Purchases of related to safety, pest control services, and hygiene and obtain approvals from the management
9. Collate reports to Management on the progress of the system implementation and effectiveness across the warehouses for regular meetings and management review meetings
10. Present Quality aspects for the Management Review Meetings
11. Ensure food safety systems and customer -specific systems are implemented and followed in the warehouses
12. Obtain timely reports for data analysis quality objectives, customer feedback and complaint analysis, departmental KPIs, Good Warehouse Practices scorecard and audit nonconformances
13. Conduct Trainings for,
1. Train the trainers across warehouse
2. Branch Managers- Induction training at Bangalore HO
3. Self-audit
4. Hazard and Risk Analysis HACCP principles to Food Safety Team

1. Track the effectiveness of trainings through Exit Criteria
2. Centralized Document Control from Bangalore HO by issue and verification
3. Track Audit Management (internal, second party and third party) audit plan, audits, audit findings, nonconformance and corrective actions and follow-ups for verifications
4. Ensure the warehouse related licenses (e.g., FSSAI) and consents for the warehouses and transport vehicles are timely applied and renewed
5. Prepare the documentations required for applying the licenses and consents with regulatory and legal bodies related to FSSAI, Pollution Control Boards etc.
6. BRC Storage and Distribution Audits
7. Video Audits and random monitoring of live CCTV

1. Product non-conformity inward temperature abuse, damages, expired product
2. Traceability
3. Expiry and Near expiry products
4. Recalls Management and Mock Recalls
5. Product insurances
6. With CRM Team:
1. Customer complaint root cause analysis, corrective action plan
2. Customer feedback analysis

1. With Technical Team:
1. CCP Monitoring, deviations, corrective actions and verifications
2. Warehouse incidents and accidents
3. Calibrations

1. With Distribution Division Team:
1. CCP Monitoring, deviations, corrective actions and verifications
2. Vehicle incidents and accidents
3. Transit damages

ROLE SPECIFICATION:Preferred Education/Training and Certification

1. Minimum Graduate from any stream/ preferably from science background
2. Trained Lead Auditor ISO 22001, Food Safety Systems, ISO 9001
3. Knowledge on FSSAI requirements

Preferred Experience

1. 5-10 years experience of food safety systems
2. Should have handled independent projects of food safety systems.
3. Should have implemented BRCGS S&D standard 4.0
4. Implemented Food safety systems ISO 22000/FSSC 22000/BRC standards
5. Lead the team for system developments for volunteer standards and legal compliances
