Manager Quality Assurance & Audit is responsible for ensuring that all operations across the shipyard, including shipbuilding, repairs, and heavy engineering, adhere to established quality standards and procedures. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality, this role oversees a team of internal auditors, to drive consistent quality performance. The Section Head Quality Assurance ensures regulatory compliance, conducts audits, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality.
This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining a culture of quality excellence within the shipyard, ensuring all products and services meet customer and regulatory standards. By implementing a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, this role contributes to the shipyards reputation for delivering high-quality outputs while optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Quality Assurance, such as Six Sigma, ISO Lead/Internal Auditor, or ASQ Certified Quality Manager, are highly advantageous.
10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Proven experience leading quality assurance initiatives, managing internal audits, and implementing process improvements.
