Job Description

Develop and implement packaging strategies for new and existing products.
Select and validate packaging materials in line with regulatory and stability requirements.
Coordinate with vendors for sourcing, trials, and cost negotiations.
Conduct packaging line trials and ensure compatibility with filling equipment.
Prepare and review packaging specifications, SOPs, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, USFDA, EU, and other global regulatory norms.
Drive packaging innovation for sustainability and cost optimization.
Collaborate with R&D, QA, and production teams for smooth technology transfer.
Troubleshoot packaging-related issues during manufacturing and audits.
Support regulatory submissions and respond to packaging-related queries.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

B.Pharm / M.Pharm OR B.Sc / M.Sc in Packaging Technology, Material Science, or related field
PG Diploma in Packaging (from IIP or equivalent) is an added advantage

Experience

8–12 years in pharmaceutical packaging development (injectables, oral solids, or biologics)
Hands-on experience with packaging material selection, stability studies, and regulatory compliance
