Job Summary:

Manager Mining Equipment Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mining equipment and fleets (e.g., excavators, dumpers, dozers, loaders, drilling machines, etc.).
• Lead maintenance teams and contractors in ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety, and availability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate with OEMs or service providers when needed.
• Ensure minimal equipment downtime and maximize machine availability through strategic planning and resource management.
• Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage spare parts inventory, procurement planning, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with operations, planning, and procurement departments for seamless execution of maintenance activities.
• Implement safety best practices and ensure adherence to safety standards across all maintenance operations.
• Monitor performance KPIs related to machine uptime, maintenance costs, and fleet utilization.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend process or design improvements.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance and operations of mining or heavy equipment fleets.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in mining machinery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to mining operations.
