Manager - Mines (Karur TN)

Role & responsibilities

• Selecting suitable mines for supply of Raw material
• Coordinating with mines division for dispatching the raw material from the approved mines
• Development of National Mining Business, Mining acquisition national locations with key focus on profitability & optimal utilization of resources;
• Mining Lease application preparation, Govt. follow up & getting Leases.
• Managing all operating mines and other statutory compliance submissions
• Mining Plan & Environmental plan preparation and follow up work.
• Inspection & selection of new mines
• Liaisons work with Central Govt. /Various Ministers in India / overseas location, Public Relation work, Managing Clearances through Govt. Authorities, Affiliated with Trade bodies, Chamber of Commerce, Foreign Embassies, In Depth analysis of Probable business opportunity from mining.
• Analysis of various contracts / agreements from mining commercial point of view and negotiation of contract terms with suppliers, documentation related to Indian / overseas mining acquisition & Agreement.
• Manage internal & external affairs for effective utilization of resources, Taking care of Mining Operations and Statutory/Safety aspects.
• Devising plans and directing various engineering aspects of extracting mineral resource from earth involving preparation of initial plans for type, size, location and construction of mines
• Leading and motivating teams to achieve business objectives

Preferred candidate profile

• M.Sc Geology with minimum 15 years’ experience

  in selection of suitable mines, mining leases, related compliances.
• Should be a

  Mine Surveyor ® and 2nd class Mines Manager

• Should have proven experience in

  Mining acquisition, preparation of mining lease applications,

• Should have good experience in

  Inspection and selection of new mines

  ,
• Should have proven experience

  liaising with Government agencies, ministries

  .
• Should have proven experience in

  managing clearances

• Should have good experience in

  Quartz and silica

• Should have good experience in managing the

  logistics

  of mined material.
• Should have experience operating in

  TN and Karnataka regions

  .
• Should be ready to work out of

  Karur Location

  (TN)
• Should have good knowledge of

  Tamil, English, Kannada
